PRODUCTION ROLLOVER Car Wash Hydraulic Hoses
Wash Installed Year
1980 – 2010
All hoses had zinc plated ends. No matter the size of the hose.
*All of these hoses should be replaced when the hose ends are getting corroded or the hose coatings start to crack
2011 – 2014
On new installs, all the 3/8” hoses were made with Stainless Steel ends on normal rubber hose.
*We didn’t have the best of luck with this hose maker, so when you a hose blow with a Stainless Steel end on it from 2011-2014, be proactive and change out all the 3/8” hoses.
2015 – present
On new installs, all the 3/8” hoses have been made with our current hose provider with Stainless Steel ends and have been very good. They are made with stainless steel ends on a thermal plastic hose.
2020 – 2024
Same very good hoses since 2015. However, we no longer used black hose wrap on the arm hoses. We have found on rare occasions that these arm hoses could rub on the arm weld and create a rub issue. If you have any 2020-2024 installed washes, please add 8” of hose wrap to the arm hoses at no charge to dealer. SEE PHOTO AT END OF MEMO.
2025 – present Same very good hoses since 2015 with 8” of hose wrap from clamp toward frame.

Here are things to remember when to trying to make the decision to replace our hoses…
-
Please remember that not all Rollover hoses are 3/8” in size. Therefore, all hoses do not have stainless steel ends on them. For example, the 155” crossover hoses are ½” hoses, so they have Zinc plated ends on them. If these are the hoses that start to corrode, just replace the necessary Zinc plated ½” hoses.
-
You don’t want to replace good functioning stainless steel hydraulic hoses with zinc plated hoses. The Zinc hoses may start to corrode in a few years, whereas, the stainless steel ends will never corrode. The only time you’d want to replace stainless hoses preemptively were if the coating were to start cracking, but we haven’t seen that yet.
-
If you have ever replaced that same hose since the wash was installed, there is a 99% chance that the hose has zinc plated ends on it today. Whenever hoses are shipped out to you, we always send Zinc unless you specifically ask for Stainless.
-
If you don’t know how to tell the difference between Zinc and Stainless, stick a magnet to them. Zinc will stick to a magnet, stainless will not.
-
Stainless steel hoses are 2.5 times more expensive than zinc plated hoses. Stainless steel hoses are also only available in 3/8” sizes.
Other notes…..
-
If a hose is not 3/8”, it is always Zinc Plated.
-
Rocker hoses, conveyor hoses, sprinter hoses, flexwrap hoses have various ends on them over the years. Ask us for help is you are unsure what to replace.
